Introduction and Context
BIT10 is a Decentralized asset manager that provides users index funds, which tracks a diverse range of cryptocurrencies, including major tokens, memecoins and BRC-20s.
We have Index funds that cater to certain users such as an Index fund for the Bitcoin Ecosystem, another for the top 10 Cryptos and another for the top 10 Memecoins. These cater for different users who want to track a specific sector of the cryptocurrency market. In traditional finance when an investor buys the S&P500 index fund or ETF, they become a shareholder in 500 companies that the S&500 tracks. For BIT10 whenever you buy an Index Fund, the user will own the underlying assets. This is explained later in the Gitbook.
